In the beginning was the idea... It all started when we were sitting together with some friends and talked about the internet. It is a nice invention, indeed, but more and more often you have to realise that your knowledge of foreign languages is limited. I recently experienced this when I wanted to buy something from a French guy at e-bay. I do not speak French and he spoke neither English nor German. There should be a possibility to translate an email into his mother tongue. The addressee should get this mail in his native language without being "babelfished". He should not get mails like: "Arrive to the chatroom where you able meeting Einheimische for dabate themes the most hot." and does not have a clue what it is all about. We have put our heads together and discussed how we might realise our aim, and within two month, lets-mail.de was born. At the moment, we have 30 translators in our team for the languages:: German, English, French, Italian, Polish, Russian, Swedish, Turkish, Spanish, Albanian, Bulgarian, Hungarian, Romanian, Lettish, Serbian, Arabic, Portuguese, Dutch and Norwegian.
